Patient feedback and complaints

We welcome comments about the diagnostic ultrasound service we provide. Anyone who has had an appointment at our clinic can make a complaint. Where criticism is made we will respond to the complainant and, where necessary, put right what was wrong.

We aim to give the best possible standard of service, both clinical and administrative, at all times. However, there may be times when you feel this has not been achieved.

We operate an NHS complaints procedure to deal with comments, suggestions and complaints about the service we provide. All staff are trained in this procedure and will be happy to give you further information.

We will try to address all your concerns promptly, provide you with an explanation and discuss any action that may be needed to prevent a future occurrence.

On the e-Referral Service web-site you will find DUC in the Directory of Services under the Speciality Diagnostic Imaging under Clinic Type Ultrasound. Each examination type, such as abdominal, renal, pelvic testicular scans, are listed separately for DUC, in order to allow on-line booking in due course.

The e-Referral process follows the same pathway as any other referral under e-Referral. Update information regarding the cessation of facsimile services is available here

Paperless Referral and Reporting Advances

We are now moving towards the NHS target (https://www.gov.uk/…/news/jeremy-hunt-challenges-nhs-to-go-paperless-by-2018—2) to introduce systems to facilitate paperless referrals and reporting. Please see the attached communication for further details Referral and Reporting 2017.

Communication update information is available here.

Clinical Results Reporting System (CRRS)

This is a University Hospitals Coventry & Warwickshire (CRRS) results reporting system providing all approved staff with electronic access to all Pathology results. DUC Ultrasound records all reports on this system enabling hospital staff and GPs access as needed. This also enables reports to be electronically sent to registered GPs via their usual EDT transmissions. As part of the transition to paperless referrals and reporting, all paper reports ceased on 1 November 2017.

If you have not yet registered for CRRS access, please complete the attached form and forward to UHCW who will arrange the appropriate Induction CRRS Application Form
